The Duffle Bag Program
In late 2010 the church began a new project by filling bags with age appropriate items such as school supplies, games and activity books, a stuffed animal and a blanket. The bags are taken to the Hart County Division of Protection and Permanence and are given to children who for various reasons have to be removed from their homes.
The church became aware that in most cases, the children must leave their homes with nothing and sometimes they are moved from home to home. By meeting this need, it provides something for the children to take with them that they could call his or her own.
Back To School Bash
The church participates by handing out school supplies at the local elementary school at the beginning of each school year.
BRASS Inc. Domestic Violence Shelter
Our church is involved in the BRASS Program which reaches out to battered women and children in a seven county area. We donate twin bed sheets to this program.
2nd Sunday of each month
Ladies of the church meet to discuss needs that may come up in the community.
